PT Semen Padang orders new production line from FLSmidth
FLSmidth has won an order from PT Semen Padang, part of the Semen Indonesia Group, for a new cement production line. The order, which is worth around €40 million, includes the raw mill, coal mill, preheater, kiln, burner, clinker cooler, silo equipment and plant control system. The line will have a capacity of 8000 tpd and will be established at the cement producer’s plant in Indarung in West Sumatra. This is the sixth line to be built at the plant, and the fifth to be supplied by FLSmidth.
“FLSmidth has a long and strong relationship with PT Semen Padang and Semen Indonesia Group. FLSmidth's last major orders from Semen Indonesia Group comprised two production lines that were successfully commissioned in 2012. Most of the equipment at Semen Indonesia Group's cement plants in Indonesia was supplied by FLSmidth, starting in 1910 with the successful commissioning of Padang's first production line,” said President of the Cement Division Per Mejnert Kristensen.
