Cimfaso, a Kanis International company, has recently awarded Haver & Boecker a contract for a turnkey project in Burkina Faso, Africa.
Contract for plant planning, civil service and engineering
The contract involves the supply of all packing machines and systems, detailed planning and engineering performances, installation supervision, alongside the turnkey plant start-up at the job site.
Haver & Boecker analyses the entire process chain, to develop and supply individual system solutions from a single source, with the hope of a considerable reduction in both interfaces and communication efficiency.
The role of IBAU HAMBURG
Haver & Boecker’s subsidiary company, IBAU HAMBURG, will play a leading role in fulfilling Cimfaso’s requirements. As part of the installation works, two IBAU HAMBURG silos, each with a capacity of 3500 t, have been installed and two more silos of the same size are to be in the future.
The packing of cement is handled by two Roto-Packer® lines, each equipped with 8 spouts, allowing approximately 260 t of cement to be filled each hour. The Rotoclassic filling machines are rotating-type packers of modular design and have rapidly exchangeable spouts. For easy and efficient maintenance a module can be replaced without problems by a reserve, even during operation.
A Niagara vibrating screen and the entire bag discharge and handling line, which includes bag cleaning, a conveyor check-weigher and bag discharge, are also being installed. Operating personnel can control the manually operable truck loading system.
The Haver & Boecker machines will be maintained remotely via the internet, a simple process that will reduce plant downtime and decrease maintenance costs.
