Suez Cement donates to Long Live Egypt Fund

World Cement,

Egypt’s Suez Cement, part of the Italcementi Group, will donate LE30 million to the Long Live Egypt Fund over a period of three years.

The pledge forms part of the cement producer’s corporate social responsibility programme. Over the last few years, Suez Cement has made health and education a priority under its CSR activities, donating more than LE40 million to programmes in this area.

The company’s CEO, Bruno Carre, handed over a cheque for the Long Live Egypt Fund to Egyptian Prime Minister H.E. Ibrahim Mehleb, on 25 March.

“As a leader in our field, we know that it is our duty to invest in a better Egypt. We are proud to be part of a national effort to support the Egyptian economy,” said Mr Carre. “We have made it our main goal to promote industrial development and economic performance as both a key employer and corporate citizen of Egypt. We feel that our substantial donation to the Long Live Egypt Fund will do just that and ensure that communities in need will receive much-needed support during these challenging times.”
