El Arish Cement opts for Loesche VRMs
El Arish Cement, Egypt, has ordered two vertical roller mills from Loesche. The 450 tph capacity VRMs, type LM 56.4, will grind raw meal to a fineness of 12% R 90 µm. They will be installed on two new clinker production lines at the company’s plant. Each of the lines will have the capacity to produce 5500 tpd.
The new mills are the same as two Loesche mills that are already operating on existing lines no. 1 and no. 2 at the plant. As the mills are the same type, common parts can be utilised, reducing the need for spare parts.
El Arish also opted for two Loesche mills for cement grinding – both of the type LM 63.3+3. These VRMs will grind various cement types at rates of up to 305 tph. The mills have a table diameter of 6.3 m and will comprise 6800 kW drives.
The new Loesche mills will help El Arish Cement to meet changing market demands by enabling it to produce a range of additive cements and various product finenesses.
