FLSmidth to open Supercenter in South Africa
FLSmidth is constructing a Supercenter in Delmas, South Africa, in order to provide spare parts and a repair service to the region. The Supercenter, which is the first to be built in Africa, will include a 750 m2 office, a 2900 m2 workshop and storage area, as well as a 635 m2 mobile plant workshop and service facility. It will also include a training centre, to train both FLSmidth staff and advise customers on the safe and efficient use of its products.
“The Supercenter in Delmas will be tailored to meet customer needs, not only related to warehousing, rebuild and repair capabilities, but especially in the areas of plant efficiency and safety. The facility will boost our customers’ competitive advantage and also contribute to their safety records, since repairs and rebuilds will take place in the controlled environment of the Supercenter and away from their sites,” stated Bjarne Moltke Hansen, FLSmidth Group Executive Vice President.
Other FLSmidth Supercentres are based in Arizona, USA; Brisbane and Perth, Australia; Arequipa, Peru; Antofagasta and Santiago, Chile; and Khanbogd, Mongolia.
