World Cement,
Sinoma (CBMI) has handed over paperwork signing off two projects in Africa.
On 18 January the company signed a Provisional Take-Over Certificate (PTC), with Nigeria Unicem, 8 weeks ahead of contract at the CBMI headquarters in Beijing. The project has been handed over 8 weeks ahead of schedule.
Mr. Tomas Lorent, Lafarge Project Manager, and Mr. Liu Xinwang, CBMI Project Manager, signed the certificate on behalf of their respective companies.
A PTC has also been signed with Lafarge Algeria, on the same day, following approval by the Lafarge Steer committee. The PAC certificate for the Biskra project, which has been completed one month and three days ahead of the contract period, was signed by Mr. Didier Michel, Project Manager from Lafarge, and Mr. Gu Jinjun, Project Manager from CBMI, on behalf of their respective companies.
CBMI emphasised that the PAC represents just one milestone, rather than the final end point, and CBMI will complete the remaining work to full satisfaction.
