Cement plant inaugurated in Angola
Cimenfort Industrial, part of the Genea Group, has inaugurated its 720 000 t cement plant in Angola. According to local press, the opening ceremony was carried out by Angola’s Minister of Geology, Mining and Industry, Joaquim Duarte David. The plant is located in the Catumbela area of Benguela province and is reported to represent an investment of approximately US$100 million. Plans are afoot to increase the plant’s construction capacity to 1 million t by 2013.
