Gebr. Pfeiffer wins raw mill contract in Togo

Gebr. Pfeiffer has won a contract to supply a 410 tph VRM for raw material grinding at a new cement plant in Togo. The contract was awarded by the general contractor for the project, Chengdu Design & Research Institute of Building Materials Industry Co. Ltd., part of the Sinoma Group.

The mill in question is an MPS 5000 B, designed to cope with raw material containing up to 15% moisture. Gebr. Pfeiffer’s work on the project will include the core components for the grinding plant, as well as the supply of workshop drawings to enable to local manufacture of mill components and the supervision of manufacture at Chinese workshops. Gebr Pfeiffer will supervise erection and commissioning on site.

The grinding plant is part of a 5000 tpd greenfield cement production line being set up by Scantogo, a member of the HeidelbergCement group.

The mill is scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2013.
