French engineering group, Fives, has commissioned two new cement milling units at Qatar National Cement’s plant in Umm Bab, Qatar. The mills are part of a new production line – the fifth at the plant – which will have capacity of 5000 tpd when complete.
Qatari cement demand has been boosted by ongoing infrastructure development related to the FIFA 2020 World Cup preparations.
The two 4200 kW FCB B-mills with FCB TSV 4000 classifiers for cement grinding form part of a turnkey contract that also includes a 6400 kW mill with classifier for raw meal grinding, five-stage preheater with FCB Zero-Nox Preca system, kiln, and two process filters.
