Improvement in Iran’s cement output

Iranian cement production has surpassed that of 2012, with the Secretary of Iranian Cement Industry Employers, Abdolreza Sheikhan, stating that that country's cement output reached 44.5 million t in the first seven months of the Iranian calendar year (beginning on 21 March). This is 2% higher than the same period last year. During this period, the country distributed 32.8 million t of cement to the domestic market.
The IRNA announced that cement production in the seventh month of the financial year stood at 6.19 million t. Exports have also seen a 41% y/y increase, with 9.673 million t being exported in the first six months of the Iranian calendar year.
Cement output is predicted to reach 80 million t by the end of the year and the country plans to increase production to 85 million t by the end of the next financial year.
