Loesche wins contract for Dangote Cement’s Ibese 7

Dangote Cement has awarded Loesche a contract to supply grinding technology for line 7 at the Ibese plant, Nigeria. Loesche will provide the site with an LM 63.3+3 with a 6700 kW gearbox. The VRM will grind clinker with components such as limestone and gypsum. It will produce clinker type CEM I at a rate of 310 tph at 3200 blaine. Its capacity for clinker type CEM II will be 295 tph at 4500 blaine.

Loesche’s scope of supply also includes an LF 20 hot gas generator, the latest generation LDC classifier, all mechanical equipment between the mill pre-bins and the product bucket elevator, in addition to electrical equipment and automation, detail engineering of the civil works and the building’s steel structure. Commissioning is due to commence at the end of April 2014.

Dangote has placed orders for several Loesche VRMs, including mills for grinding coal, raw materials and clinker, which have been operating on Ibese lines 1 and 2 since 2010, and five mills for clinker and cement raw material, which were installed on the Ibese lines 3 and 4.

Molins announce first quarter results
