New appointments at Dickinson Group of Companies
South Africa-based Dickinson Group of Companies has announced two new appointments to its senior management team.
Firstly, Anton Briedenhann is taking up the position of Managing Director – Sub-Saharan Africa Operations. Briedenhann joined the Dickinson Group in 1995 and has vast experience of executing construction, shutdown and maintenance projects in the region. Secondly, Ralph van der Merwe has been selected as Chief Operating Officer – South African Operations. He joined the company this year, following previous roles at B&B Refractories and Calderys South Africa.
The appointments are in line with the company’s plans to enhance its performance in South Africa and neighbouring countries that form part of the Southern Africa Development Community, whilst also expanding its presence elsewhere in Africa. To accomplish this, Dickinson Group is focusing its business operations in two key areas: South African Operations ‘Keeping the Home Fires Burning’ and Sub-Saharan Africa Operations ‘African Expansion Strategy’.
