On 16 December 2015, the Ohorongo Otavi Community Trust donated six bicycles to the Tsumeb Police, in partnership with Cymot.

During the ceremony in which the bicycles were handed-over to Tsumeb Police, Chief Inspector Nguulivali commended OOCT and Cymot for their involvement in the fight against crime and expressed the gratitude of the Namibian Police. He noted that the bicycles will assist the police in being more visible and enable them to respond on time when needed.

“The safety of communities remains an important factor, hence the commitment to join hands with the communities in the fight against crime. Ohorongo Cement will always be a partner in initiatives such as this through its Trust,” said Mr Rudolf Coetzee, General Administration Manager at Ohorongo Cement.
