Intercem receives new order from Cim Metal Group

In May 2016, Intercem’s third order out of five with the Cim Metal Group – Cimasso Cement Grinding Plant (2.0 million tpy) in Bobo Dioulasso started. The plant was commissioned at the end of 2018 and production started successfully. Due to a growing demand in cement, the investor decided to double their capacity and ordered an extension line and an upgrade of the existing line from Intercem which will be integrated on the existing plant: Cimasso II.
Cimasso II contains:
- 3 x truck unloading stations
- Var. raw material handling systems
- 1 x raw material hopper station
- 1 x cement grinding plant with Vertical Roller Mill
- 4 x 5.400 to cement silos
- 5 x 12 spout rotary packer
- 10 x Truck loading station
- 10 x Truck weighing bridges
- 1 x upgrading of the existing cement grinding plant
Intercem is in charge of the engineering, mechanical and electrical plant components including steel construction/cladding with exclusively European equipment origin, the project management, and is also responsible for the supervision activities for the civil, mechanical and electrical assembly works and commissioning of the plant.
