Lafarge Cement Zambia on track to supply construction projects in Livingstone

World Cement,

As Zambia gears up to host the 20th Session of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) General Assembly in August, Lafarge Cement Zambia’s official distributor in the Southern Province has confirmed the company has plenty of stocks to meet cement demand.

In the run up to the UNWTO General Assembly, a number of construction projects are planned to improve the co-host city of Livingstone. These projects, including construction of the market, bus terminus, a stadium and road upgrades among others, will require a considerable quantity of cement. Suhails International Limited, Lafarge’s local distributors and agents, told press that the Livingstone depot has more than 9000 bags of cement to cater for construction projects in the province. In addition, Lafarge Cement Zambia has donated 300 t of cement to Livingstone City Council to support infrastructure projects in the city.

Livingstone is the capital of the Southern Province, and lies close to tourism hotspot Victoria Falls.
