Northern Province Cement to invest in Iraq

Saudi Arabian cement producer, Northern Province Cement Co. is to invest in the Iraqi cement sector, according to a company statement.
The investment will be made by the company’s Jordanian subsidiary and will involve the establishment of a company in Iraq to undertake development work at Basra cement plant.
Northern Province Cement will take a 20% stake in the new company, which will be called Umm Qasr Northern Cement Co. Ltd.
