Pioneer announces contract for new cement plant

Pioneer Cement has announced a contract with Sinoma-Chengdu Design & Research Institute of Building Materials Industry Co. Ltd (CDI) to construct a new cement plant, waste heat recovery power plant and coal-fired power plant.

According to a release to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, Sinoma-CDI will provide equipment and technical services for the project.

The cement plant will have production capacity of 8000 tpy of clinker, while the waste heat recovery power plant will have a capacity of 12 MW and the coal-fired power will have capacity of 24 MW.
