World Cement,
Keeping its promise to donate 14 truckloads of cement to Namibia, Ohorongo Cement has delivered to the first three regions as part of its Silver Jubilee Independence Celebrations.
The company agreed to a donation of one truckload of cement for each of the 14 regions. Each truckload contains 720 bags weighing 50kg each. The total value of the donations is in excess of a million Namibian Dollars.
The first truck arrived in the Omaheke Region on 28 May. Omusati and Ohangwena Regions received their delivery on 1 June and Oshikoto on 2 June.
Governors of each recipient region have been instructed by the Prime Minister to identify products in which the cement can be utilised.
Pending of the availability of the Governors to receive the cement, the other regions will receive their truckloads throughout the year.
