BI, a leading South African distributor of bearings and power transmission products, has supplied cement producers with KÖBO chains. Ideal for the corrosive and abrasive environments of cement plants, BI supplied 80 m of bucket elevator chain, 90 m of elevator chain, and 120 m of hot pan conveyor chain to various cement producers.
BI has been the exclusive distributor of KÖBO chains in South Africa since 2017. Based in Germany, KÖBO has produced sprockets and chain wheels for more than 100 years and is acclaimed for its innovation across industries.
“KÖBO provides BI with a great deal of technical information and aftermarket service support to ensure the highest quality offering for its customers,” said Frikkie Ras, Chains and Gears Product Manager at BI. “Working hand-in-hand with KÖBO gives us the edge over other chain suppliers, as we are confident in supplying a product that we know will not fail, as it is built to last and offers value for money.”
