Iran sees increase in cement and clinker exports

As reported by Eghtesadonline news website, over 17.5 million tons of clinker and cement were exported from Iran in the past Iranian calendar year.
Abdolreza Sheikhan, head of Iran's Cement Employers Association, reports that this shows a 32% growth compared with the previous year.
"Cement accounted for 6.7 million tons and clinker for 10.8 million tons of the total sum," Sheikhan said.
He continued, "Our main export destinations over the period were Iraq, Kuwait, China, Bangladesh, India, the littoral states of the Gulf and Central Asian countries”.
In total, last year Iran produced 60.3 million tons of cement and 66 million tons of clinker, showing a 9% and 6.9% rise year on year.
