World Cement,
Fives will supply a new high efficiency separator for the Lafarge Cement Egypt (LCE) petcoke grinding unit in the frame of its conversion from open to close circuit by Imsat (Romania). Thanks to the installation of the FCB TSV™ Classifier, the grinding plant will produce 90 tph of pulverised petcoke with R90µm <=5%, as required by LCE to shift from the conventional fuel used presently for the pyroprocess. This project is aiming at relieving the stress on the cement plant due to the energy crisis in Egypt.
The selected FCB TSV™ Classifier is of 4000 MF series, with 4.0 m outer diameter, and 90 kW installed power. Nominal cut size is 60 µm, which corresponds approximately to the d80 of the finished product. By selecting Fives’ FCB TSV™ Classifier for this project, Lafarge Cement Egypt will ensure the full optimisation of the grinding circuit and will reach the highest burnability of the solid fuel thanks to the drastic reduction of coarse particles in the finish product.
