Falcon Cement Company (FCC) has achieved ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification following a comprehensive assessment of the company by Belgian accreditation company, Bureau Veritas. The cement company, which is Bahrain’s first fully-integrated cement producer, is delighted to have received the certification, with Executive Director Salah Sharif praising the board, management team and staff for their efforts, and thanking the customers for their support. “(This) goes some way towards underscoring our commitment to being the leading cement manufacturer in the kingdom through the delivery of high product quality and excellence in service,” he added.

FCC began production in March 2009 and currently operates at a capacity of 1000 tpd. Earlier this year we reported that the company had signed a contract with LV Technology to upgrade and set up a new backup cement mill. The plant plans to increase capacity to 2500 tpd, which represents about 50 – 60% of the current market requirements of the Kingdom’s cement demand.

“We look forward to further building our position and even more effectively meeting the needs of the current and future market in Bahrain through continued growth and the pursuit of quality enhancement,” said Sharif.
