The Portland Cement Association (PCA), representing America’s cement manufacturers, announced the winners of its Energy and Environment Awards and its Chairman's Safety and Safety Innovation Awards at the association's 2024 Cement Fly-In in Washington, D.C.
The awards recognise PCA member company teams who excelled in implementing new energy and environmental initiatives, and those who went above and beyond to enhance overall, on-the-job safety at America's cement plants.
“Holding this awards event right before teams of industry leaders head to Capitol Hill is a great motivator because it highlights excellence in PCA’s top priorities – safety and environmental initiatives – which will get us to carbon neutrality”, said Mike Ireland, PCA’s President and CEO.
“Having plant workers here to accept their awards really adds to the fly-in experience, as they are the boots on the ground for this industry, and it is their innovation and their commitment to their co-workers that enables all of America’s cement companies to thrive”, Ireland said.
The following PCA member companies received awards for their 2023 accomplishments:
