Miguel Angel Rubalcava, President of Holcim (Colombia) S.A., made the announcement at the 9th National Congress on Infrastructure, which was held in Cartagena. The 2 million tpa plant would help to meet local demand, as well as playing a role in the company’s growth in the region. Around US$600 million would be invested, generating more than 1000 jobs, both directly and indirectly, during the construction phase.
