To help meet rising construction demand across the Dallas-Fort Worth region, Amrize is investing in its Midlothian Cement Plant to expand production capacity, modernise logistics, and improve operational efficiency for customers.

The investment is part of Amrize’s broader commitment to invest US$900 million across its North American operations in 2026 – a 15% increase compared to 2025.

The Midlothian expansion project, expected to complete in 2027, will include:

  • Adding 100 000 tpy of cement production capacity.
  • Construction of two new 15 000-t silos, increasing the plant total to 14 silos.
  • Expanding truck loading lanes from 6 to 11, increasing loading capacity by more than 80%.
  • Implementing self-service truck loading technology.
  • Reducing average truck turnaround times to approximately 5 mins.
  • Rehabilitating existing silos to unlock additional usable capacity.

The Midlothian facility employs approximately 150 team members and currently delivers more than 2 million tpy of cement, supporting hundreds of builders across Dallas-Fort Worth and throughout Texas.

Its Made-in-America cement has been used in thousands of commercial, infrastructure and residential projects in Texas, including AT&T Stadium, the Perot Museum, the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, Melissa High School, Passport Park West, and major transportation corridors such as Interstate 635 East.

“Texas is one of the most dynamic construction markets in America,” said Patrick Cleary, Senior Vice President of US Cement and Supply Chain. “This investment strengthens our ability to partner with customers advancing critical infrastructure and commercial projects across the state. By expanding capacity and significantly improving efficiency, we are enhancing reliability, safety and service for the customers and communities we serve.”

This investment is intended to strengthen the American-made supply of building materials in one of the strongest construction markets in North America, driven by infrastructure modernisation, data centre development, manufacturing expansion, commercial investment, and efforts to address housing demand.
