NSSGA’s 2016 AGG1 Academy & Expo kicked off on 22 March with a sold-out show floor of 196 exhibitors and more than 4500 attendees.
Academy education sessions will continue to provide industry-leading education through to 24 March.
US Navy SEAL Curt Cronin imparted leadership advice and lessons to the Young Leaders at the group’s annual luncheon, sponsored by Rock Products. During more than a decade of combat operations to eighteen countries throughout the Pacific and US Central Command, Cronin led the nation’s Premier SEAL assault force and maximised their effectiveness to handle any mission.
“The real mission now is for you to decide if you’re going to be the change you wish you see in your industry,” he said. “Grab a notebook and note three things you’re going to do differently this year. If 200 people do three things differently… that compound effect can completely change the game.”
The NSSGA Board of Directors also held a meeting to discuss the direction of the association and industry. The meeting began with an address from Joe Main, assistant secretary of the Mine Safety and Health Administration.
