Loma Negra to invest US$50 million to boost production

Loma Negra, Argentina’s top cement producer and a company controlled by Brazil’s Carmargo Correa, plans to invest US$ 50 million to boost production and transportation. The company has nine production plants in the country, six in the province of Buenos Aires and one each in the provinces of Catamarca, Neuquen and San Juan.

Of the total to be invested, US$ 35 million will go toward Loma Negra’s mills, while US$ 15 million will be used to increase capacity at Ferrosur Roca, a railway line that ships 5.4 million t of cargo annually.
