According to The Freedonia Group, the demand for cement and additives for concrete is predicted to grow by 7% a year through 2020, putting the value at US$4 billion that year.
Concrete consumption is on the rise due to increased construction, according to the company’s analysis, as is the demand for additives. Freedonia predicts that the use of cement and concrete additives on a per t basis is expected in all major markets this year as construction continues to increase.
