Lafarge Canada has been recognised as a top employer through Canada’s Top 100 Employers competition, winning three awards.

The awards won were: Alberta’s Top 70 Employers; Canada’s Best Diversity Employers; Canada’s Top Employers for Young People.
Lafarge’s Combined shareholders’ meeting, which was held in Paris on 7 May 2015 under the chairmanship of Bruno Lafont, approved all resolutions submitted for their vote.
Lafarge and Holcim have received final approval from competition authorities in Canada and the US; the companies have now released a final list of the assets up for divestment.
Following a mediation session, McInnis Cement, the CQDE, the CREGIM and Nature Québec have agreed to the formation of an Environmental Committee that will monitor the environmental activities of the Port-Daniel-Gascons plant in Gaspé.
