With the arrival of 65 state-of-the-art mixer trucks, Cementos Argos aims to revitalise its fleet of 700 vehicles, which make it possible to deliver the company’s products every day.

The trucks, recognised for their efficiency, safety, and comfort, are the first of a total of 120 that will arrive in the country in the remainder of the year, and which will be added to the equipment renewal that began in late 2018 with the acquisition of three electric forklifts, two concrete mixer trucks with electric tops, and two state-of-the-art pumping trucks.

In addition to offering comfort with an ergonomic design, the trucks also feature technology that contributes to road safety, reduces the emission of nitrogen oxides by almost 30%, reduces particulate matter by 80%, and reduces the use of fuel by 20%. This translates into fewer emissions and maintenance costs compared to a traditional truck.

According to Argos, in addition to being a pioneer of sustainable mobility solutions, the company is also contributing with its commitment to reducing emissions to the environment, providing access to safer means of transport and taking care of peoples’ health.

“With the acquisition of these new assets, we move forward with our purpose of delivering extraordinary solutions to our customers and of being part of the progress and development of the territories where we have presence,” said David Restrepo, Manager of the Argos Supply Chain in Colombia. “These mixers have excellent characteristics that allow us to continue being pioneers in road safety and sustainable mobility in our sector.”
