Mole-Master Service Corporation visited Kansas State University to offer silo cleaning safety training to future mill managers.
The training has been offered as a lab corresponding to Dr. Charles Stark’s Feed Technology II course. "Feed Technology II consists of 3 components," the professor said. "The first part is data management/collection, the middle section covers preventative maintenance, and the final part explores safety, especially in confined space entry scenarios."
The Mole-Master training, which includes usage of the Junior 360 Whip Machine, provides students an opportunity to gain real-world experience as they receive hands-on training. The lab emphasises issues corresponding to both preventative maintenance and safety.
"We really enjoy the opportunity to come out here and work with such an esteemed program," said Michael Bailey, Project/Technical Sales Manager. "These are the future mill managers of the world, so getting to teach them about safety and silo or bin cleaning in a hands-on way, as well as how safety can ultimately save a company money over the long term, is really rewarding."
