According to a new report by the Portland Cement Association released at World of Concrete, domestic cement consumption will grow by as much as 5% in 2016.
Speaking at the 2016 World of Concrete, Edward Sullivan, PCA chief economist commented that, “the fundamentals of our economy are sound.”
“With the recently passed federal highway bill, and continued net increases in new jobs, we see clear indications that positive growth will continue,” continued Sullivan.
PCA’s industry-renowned Market Intelligence Group, which provides data and insight on fundamental economic issues, is set to release an updated report on US cement consumption in March, 2016.
