Applications will open tomorrow for admission to Cementos Argos’s 2019 scholarship programme, which has promoted higher education in Colombia for the past four years and benefited 144 students so far.
The students are drawn from the departments of Antioquia, Atlántico, Bolívar, Boyacá, Cundinamarca, Sucre, Tolima and Valle del Cauca.
Total investment in the four years of the programme has been over 3880 million pesos (approximately US$1.3 million).
The retention rate is 94%, much higher than other programmes of access to higher education.
