Cemex has announced that its subsidiary, Cemex Latam Holdings, is participating in the construction of the Atrio project, a 250 000 m2 multipurpose complex in Bogota, that will house the tallest building in Colombia.
CLH supplied the necessary concrete, team and equipment for the casting of the first tower’s foundation plate. Performed 22 m below street level, this process consisted of the construction of a single 2400 m2 and 3 m tall slab. CLH delivered over 7380 m3 of ready-mix concrete, pumped uninterrupted for 38 hours.
This is the first time that a project of this magnitude has been performed for a building in Colombia. It involved the participation of over 300 people, around 1000 ready-mix concrete trucks in less that 48 hours and the simultaneous and continuous operation of sixCLH ready-mix concrete plants.
