Celebrating its first anniversary, CEMEX Go has impacted more than 20 000 customers in 18 countries. The technology was designed to bring digital transformation in the global building materials industry.

CEMEX Go is a R&D, innovation, and business development project and is part of the global R&D collaboration network. The project is headed by CEMEX research centres, based in Switzerland.

Accounting for 20% of CEMEX’s global sales, the platform has been used by more than 20 000 customers. This represents approximately 60% of CEMEX’s total recurring customers worldwide.

CEMEX Go allows CEMEX to serve its customers better and translates into important efficiencies. It is expected that CEMEX Go will also generate data-rich analytics, allowing the company to better anticipate its customers’ needs and focus on the most valuable solutions.

CEMEX Go offers its customers a fully digital suite of services, enabling them to get more done in less time. This is done by simplifying and streamlining transactions and interactions with CEMEX, reducing the customer’s administrative burden and giving more time to focus on strategic business matters. Using this integrated platform, customers are able to interact with CEMEX using multiple devices, anytime and anywhere.

CEMEX Go was also designed to cover the full customer journey. Through the platform, customers are able to place orders, review their transaction history, track shipments with real-time GPS, receive instant order status notifications, evaluate and adjust orders, request invoicing, and make payments. Customers also have access to full post-service visibility and transparency of all the information needed for customers to better manage their businesses. The system has enabled customers to do in minutes that which has historically taken hours.

CEMEX is undertaking its digital transformation with the support of IBM and NEORIS, leveraging the expertise, innovation, and cutting-edge information technologies of both companies. This is all with the aim of delivering game-changing solutions that provide superior customer experience.

From 6 November, NEORIS commercialised the CEMEX Go platform to heavy building material companies across the world, in partnership with IBM. This project will build upon the extensive experience of NEORIS and IBM that came from helping CEMEX to transform its digital talent, processes, and technology. The platform will be scaled across a diverse range of countries and products. Through their collaboration, NEORIS and IBM will leverage world-class open source capabilities in the cloud, with the aim of accelerating global commercialisation, implementation, and the ongoing evolution of the platform.

“CEMEX Go continues to set the standard for delivering a superior customer experience in the building materials industry,” said Fernando A. González, CEO of CEMEX. “We are very proud to have reached the milestone of more than 20 000 satisfied customers using CEMEX Go one year after its launch. Due to the success of CEMEX Go during its first year, we can create more added value to our company by offering the innovative digital commerce platform to other industry participants around the world.”
