PCA Resilience Leadership Awards winners

The Portland Cement Association (PCA) has announced the ten recipients of the inaugural 2016 Resilience Leadership Awards.

The Resilience Leadership Awards recognise the projects, organizations and individuals that have advocated, communicated and showcased the benefits of durable construction, alongside the importance of concrete in achieving resilience. The award winners practice their message in a variety of arenas, including education, community organisation, construction and code enhancement.

This year’s awardees are:

Category: New Public Buildings, Winner: Warren County Public Schools.
Category: New Commercial Building, Winner: North Central College.

Category: New Residential Building, Gold Level, Winner: John Hoffman.
Category: New Residential Building, Silver Level, Winner: Greenhill Contracting.

PCA revises 2015 forecast

Cement consumption has grown this year, but at a slower pace than expected. PCA has revised its forecast down to 3.5%.
