  • Holcim Mexico projects to grow from 200 to more than 2500 Disensa stores nationwide by 2030.
  • The expansion responds to the high demand for housing and the challenge of providing accessible and sustainable solutions for self-construction and home improvement.
  • This initiative is part of Holcim’s global NextGen Growth 2030 strategy, which aims to reach 5000 points of sale across Latin America and position Holcim as a leader in sustainable construction.

Holcim Mexico announced the expansion of Disensa, its franchise network focused on construction and home renovation materials, with the goal of multiplying its presence in the country by up to 10 times by 2030. This initiative is part of the global NextGen Growth 2030 strategy and will contribute to the regional target of reaching 5000 sales points across Latin America.

With more than 200 stores currently operating in Mexico, the company projects surpassing 2500 points of sale in the next five years, bringing comprehensive solutions to more communities and addressing the regional housing deficit, estimated at over 26 million homes in Latin America.

Disensa offers up to 85% of the materials needed to build a typical home, along with specialised advice and competitive prices. The network has been strengthened since the acquisition of Indar in 2023, which added more than 10 600 additional products to the portfolio and optimised the logistics chain to meet Mexico’s growing self-construction and home improvement needs.

The strategy includes different store formats – Express, Standard, and MAX – adapted to the characteristics of each community, from high-demand urban areas to rural towns where access to quality materials is limited. With this, Holcim seeks to provide solutions that combine accessibility, innovation, and sustainability.

“The evolution of Disensa demonstrates how we innovate in our business models to respond to new self-construction and remodelling trends, offering solutions adapted to each community and reaffirming our commitment to building progress for people and the planet,” said Rafael Ayala, Director of Disensa.

With this expansion, Holcim Mexico reaffirms its commitment to building progress for people and the planet, driving access to affordable, innovative, and sustainable solutions.
