World Cement,

Sandvik Construction has announced that Komek Machinery, one of the largest specialised equipment suppliers in Russia, has been appointed the official Russian distributor for Rammer premium hydraulic breakers. Through collaboration with Komek, Sandvik aims to strengthen its position in the Urals and Western Siberia, whilst providing customers throughout Russia with better access to the world leading Rammer breakers supported by the highest levels of aftermarket care.

Since its foundation in 2001, Komek Machinery has swiftly developed a reputation for excellence, supplying a wide range of specialised equipment and attachments for the mining, oil, gas and construction industries. From its head office in Yekaterinburg, the company has rapidly extended its market coverage through a support network of 16 offices located throughout the Urals, Western Siberia and Kazakhstan. Now one of the largest construction equipment suppliers in Russia, Komek Machinery has been appointed Sandvik Construction’s authorised distributor for the full range of Rammer premium breakers.

In addition to supplying the breaker range, Komek will also provide high-quality aftermarket service support, with Komek engineers having already successfully completed a service and maintenance programme. “One of our key strategic aims in Russia is to provide extensive service coverage, especially in emerging regions with high rates of industrial growth. Now we see a great need for expansion in the Urals and Western Siberia,” said Martin Friedl, Vice President Sales Area Russia, Sandvik Construction.

“Rammer hydraulic breakers are some of the most demanded items in Sandvik Construction’s product line, and extensive market research has shown that we needed to expand our [breaker products] dealership in these regions to satisfy the growing customer need for high-quality products and services. Hence it was decided to establish a partnership with a company [Komek] which has vast experience in the construction field, established customer support facilities, and knows the specifics of regional enterprises from the inside,” concluded Martin.
