NIRMA Ltd has chosen an MPS 180 B Pfeiffer vertical roller mill for its plant in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India. The company produces quicklime, which will be ground in the mill at a rate of 35 tph and a fineness of 10% R 150 µm. The chosen mill competed successfully against the ring roll mills currently in operation at the plant. It will be equipped with a 200 kW gearbox.
MPS mills have been used for many years in plants in the chemical, gypsum and lime industries where limestone, quicklime or gypsum are ground.
General contractor Chengdu Design & Research Institute of Building Materials Industry Co. Ltd has ordered an MPS 3070 BC mill from Gebr. Pfeiffer SE on behalf of Saudi Arabia-based Readymix.
