Kapilvastu Cement Udhyog Pvt. Ltd will install an MVR vertical mill from Gebr. Pfeiffer at its new grinding plant in Nepal. The MVR 3070 C-4 will grind ordinary portland cement (OPC) at a capacity of 70 tph, as well as mixed cements with granulated blastfurnace slag (GGBS) or flyash.

Gebr. Pfeiffer will also supply a SLS 2650 BC high-efficiency classifier, as well as monitoring and coordination of erection, and commissioning of the grinding plant.

The core components of the MVR and the 1250 kW gearbox will be supplied from Germany, while the remaining components for the mill and classifier will be supplied by Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Pvt. Ltd.

Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) will also supply most of the other components for the grinding plant, including material handling equipment, plant filter, plant fan, hot gas generator, motors, frequency converters, and proportiong belt scales, as well as any plant engineering required by the customer.

The hot gas generator is required in order to dry the feed material of mixed cements with GGBS, the company explained. The hot gas generator for this plant is an “innovative system” that will allow the use of alternative fuels.

Kapilvastu Cement Udhyog Pvt. Ltd is a subsidiary of the Ghorahi Cement group. The new plant will be set up in Sonparwa, Barkalpure, in the Kapilvastu District of south-central Nepal.
