JK Lakshmi Cement has announced that, to bring down power costs, the company is installing a 7.5 mW waste heat recovery power plant in Durg, which is likely to be commissioned in October 2017.

To bring down power costs, the company is installing a 7.5 mW waste heat recovery power plant in Durg, which is likely to be commissioned in October 2017. The company is also constructing a 200 mW thermal power plant in Durg, which will come into stream in 3Q18/19.

This announcement follows the company’s release of its annual results, which already indicate a strong focus on reducing power and fuel consumption.
