UltraTech Cement has commissioned the second grinding unit at its Manawar plant in the Indian state of Madyha Pradesh. The new unit has a capacity of 1.75 million tpy and joins a 2.5 million tpy clinker production line and another 1.75 grinding plant on the site.
The company’s total cement manufacturing capacity now stands at 92.5 million tpy, the company confirmed in an announcement on the Bombay Stock Exchange. With other ongoing expansions, the company expects capacity to reach 96.5 million tpy.
