FLSmidth MAAG Gear expand production capabilities

World Cement,

FLSmidth MAAG Gear has expanded its production facility in Poland. Investment in further machinery will expand the company’s capabilities to the manufacture of bevel gear sets.

The new range of equipment features a Klingelnberg GMC 160 bevel cutter, a Depot Expert V3520 bevel cutter and a Klingelnberg T200/250 gear tester. Together they will be used to produce vertical roller mill gearing and bevel gearing sets for gyratory and cone crushers.

FLSmidth Group CEO, Jørgen Huno Rasmussen expressed confidence at the inauguration of the new facilities, highlighting that these new bevel gear cutting machines are the only ones of their kind in Europe, and that FLSmidth, with a 130 year tradition of excellence behind it, will use this new equipment to drive the company’s gear production into the future.

This is a second step forward for MAAG Gear. Following the integration of Italian equipment supplier, Darimec, into FLSmidth MAAG Gear, along with further FLSmidth acquisitions in Germany and Australia, furthered the group’s recent emphasis on spare parts and service, something echoed in this latest expansion project.
