Caroline Hempstead joins LafargeHolcim

Caroline Hempstead has been appointed as Head of Communication, Public Affairs and Sustainable Development at LafargeHolcim, with effect from 1 December 2015. The British national will report to CEO Eric Olsen.

Caroline Hempstead joins LafargeHolcim from pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, where she was responsible for the global Corporate Affairs team since 2007. She also chaired the company’s Sustainability Council. Prior to her position at AstraZeneca, Caroline Hempstead worked in the oil industry at Royal Dutch Shell, as well as holding positions in corporate affairs at Inchcape, the London Stock Exchange and Harrods.
