'Outstanding Company in Cement Sector' award for Zuari Cement

Indian cement manufacturer Zuari Cement was recognised for the second time as an 'Outstanding Company in Cement Sector' at the 4th EPC World Awards 2013, having previously received the award in 2011. The awards acknowledge the achievements of companies and individuals from the infrastructure, construction and real estate sectors. Zuari Cement was rewarded for its excellent industry performance, originality and state-of-the-art operations in India.

Zuari Cement has a total cement manufacturing capacity of 6.2 million tpa in India, including two manufacturing plants at Sitapuram and Yerraguntla and a grinding facility at Chennai. The company is currently constructing a 3 million tpa plant in North Karnataka and a cement terminal in Kochi, Kerala. A large grinding facility is also being installed at Sholapur in Maharashtra. In 2013, the company was recognised as a 'Power Brand' for the second consecutive year in a consumer survey conducted by ICMR.
