East Africa Portland Cement Company, Kenya, has appointed Mr Albert Sigei as Chief Operating Officer, effective 24 August. Mr Sigei will be responsible for Production Operation, Production Engineering, Supply Chain Management and Sales and Marketing. .
Mr Sigei joins EAPCC from Lafarge, Nigeria, where he was Vice-President of Business Support & Ready-Mix operations.
EAPCC is in the process of upgrading its main Athi River plant, with an investment of Sh1 billion. The upgrade will improve reliability, increase production and improve energy efficiency.
