Loesche GmbH has announced the signing of an exclusive partnership with Metso Corporation. The aim of the collaboration is to introduce the pioneering Metso Loesche VRM dry grinding technology for a wide range of mineral processing applications.
The partnership combines Loesche's proven vertical roller mill (VRM) technology with Metso's comprehensive expertise in sustainable end-to-end solutions for mineral processing and global service capabilities. Together, the partners support the mining industry in achieving efficiency gains through innovative technologies and redesigned process flow sheets.
"With Metso at our side, we are excellently positioned to offer significant added value to the mining industry and actively shape the transition to more resource-efficient processes. Our VRM technology has a proven track record with more than 2400 references in the cement and other industries worldwide. We are delighted to now be able to use this proven technology in mineral processing, where it offers considerable advantages," says Stefan Baaken, Managing Director of Loesche Australia and Global Head of Mining Applications at Loesche.
"We are very much looking forward to working with Loesche. The introduction of the Metso Loesche VRM sets new standards in sustainable crushing and brings significant benefits to the mining industry in terms of sustainability and efficiency. It significantly reduces energy consumption in one of the most energy-intensive steps and lowers operating costs through simplified flowsheets and reduced wear part consumption," says Bjorn Nielsen, Vice President, HPGR & Dry Grinding at Metso. “In addition, the Metso Loesche VRM provides a steeper, more uniform particle size distribution and reduced oxidation of sulfide mineral particles, which improves downstream processing performance and supports more sustainable, resource-efficient mineral processing.”
