Doppstadt manufactures belt drums to suit customer requirements

World Cement,

The environmental enterprise Doppstadt is a manufacturer of belt drums. The company is presenting at this year’s SCHÜTTGUT trade show.

Each drum is manufactured by a standardised quality concept, based on more than 50 years of experience in the construction of belt drums. At the same time it is adjusted to the customer‘s individual requirements and the requirements of the range of application. Doppstadt belt drums are designed to drive milelong conveyor belts around the clock. They are used in conveyor belt systems and open cast mining equipment, for the extraction, storage and processing of raw materials and in special transport equipment for the solution of various transport problems for instance in overburden dumping, extraction equipment and discharge conveyors. Depending on the application they can be equipped with different kinds of bearings: the main dimensions range from 250 mm to 2500 mm diameter and from 600 mm to 3500 mm length. All the drums stand out for their stable value: they are durable and require little maintenance – an inestimable advantage because each repair involves the standstill of the entire conveyor.

In the belt drum division the enterprise also profits from its 50 years of experience in the recycling and environmental technology and from the expert knowledge of the Förderanlagen Calbe GmbH company acquired in 1992. The acquisition enlarged and amplified Doppstadt’s know-how in the field of conveyor technology. Doppstadt developed the Calbe premises decidedly with state-of-the-art manufacturing and mounting technology. All the belt drums are produced on the ISO-certified premises on the Saale River and delivered to more than twenty countries all over the world.

Conveyor belt tracking systems reduce hazards and spillage

A global leader in bulk material handling solutions offers a family of responsive conveyor belt tracking systems that mitigate misalignment, rather than correcting it – even on reversing belts – to promote conveyor efficiency and safety.

Conveyor inspections: reducing costs and enhancing safety

Martin Engineering’s Walk the Belt™ programme provides regularly-scheduled reviews of belts, cleaners, tracking, chutes, dust control and other components, helping to maximise productivity and reduce downtime.
