Vortex launches new TPV slide gate valve

World Cement,

Vortex has announced the release of its new patent protected TPV slide gate valve. Engineered for higher-pressure applications with minimal maintenance, the TPV's parameter is designed to handle up to 100 psi (6.8 barg). The TPV is also designed to withstand temperatures of up to 660 °F (350 °C) in gravity flow, dilute phase, or dense phase pneumatic conveying applications.

The TPV features Vortex’s patented rising-blade technology ensuring an optimal seal and positive material shutoff with the use of lifting lugs. This prevents the blade from jamming or packing material upon closure in the full bonnet, which can cause serious downtime. Other features include ductile iron housing, spring loaded blade guides, double acting air cylinder, mounting boss for optional proximity switch and a standard purge port to keep material out of the body and in the material flow stream. Unlike most knife gate valves, the TPV contains a replaceable seat that can significantly increase the service-life of the valve.

The TPV Slide Gate is part of the Titan Series product line that Vortex launched in late 2012. Titan Series products are engineered for handling highly abrasive material such as cement, clinker, coal, flyash, sand, gravel, glass and limestone. Titan Series valves incorporate several design features to minimise downtime and increase process efficiency.
