Timken releases Revolvo line

On 1 October, The Timken Company unveiled its full Revolvo split-to-the-shaft cylindrical roller bearing housed unit line to the North American marketplace. The units, which are fully interchangeable with most available split cylindrical bearing configurations, are widely used by mining, power generation, food and beverage, pulp and paper, metals, cement, marine and waste-water end users.

Compared with standard bearings, Revolvo housed units can reduce installation time, particularly in small or difficult locations. The product’s design accommodates misalignment of up to +/- 1.5° and is available in a number of housing configurations including special pillow blocks, flanged, take-up and hanger assemblies. The units enable the bearing to be installed without requiring access to the shaft ends by instead assembling it around the shaft. This reduces downtime because drive components can remain in place during installation or for maintenance.

The Revolvo line, which is well known across Europe, was added to Timken’s bearing and power transmission product line-up late last year, upon its acquisition of the assets of Revolvo Ltd. This launch remains in line with the company’s strategy of expanding its portfolio of power transmission products to benefit its well-established authorised distributor network and OEM accounts.
